help have spilt red wine on a cream carpet and have tried to clean it but seem to have made it worse! any quick solutions please! |

Might be a little too late for you now but if you rub salt granuals on to the stain, leave for a few minutes and then hoover up, it should take most if not all of the stain with it. |

If you happen to have a bottle of spare white wine to hand you can slosh it over the red wine stain and it kinda dissolves it. |

You can also try sparkling water, apparently the minerals and gas lift the stain and allow you to dap (not rub) it off with some soft cloth. You have to repeat this many times and for best results, do it straight away... _________________ Marion Hermannsen

I used salt granuals to remove the stain and they worked a treat! |
